DevOps / Platform Engineer

@rushabhctl

I’m Rushabh Chamle. I work in DevOps and platform engineering, building the infrastructure and tooling that helps teams ship and run software.

I’m currently a DevOps Engineer at Teradata, working across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation, CI/CD, and Linux.

I’m interested in building reliable platforms, improving developer workflows, and understanding how systems work from the ground up.

I use this space to document what I build, what I learn, and the problems I’m figuring out along the way.

Work Experience

  • Teradata DevOps Engineer · 2022 - Present

Working across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and automation, with a focus on building reliable platforms and improving software delivery.

    Work

    • Built and operated Kubernetes platforms on AWS EKS, implementing autoscaling, high availability, storage, and production reliability practices.
    • Designed and managed CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and GitHub, automating builds, testing, Docker image creation, and deployments.
    • Led Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code across AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and Hetzner environments, including EKS, K3s, and bare-metal infrastructure.
    • Implemented GitOps delivery with ArgoCD across Kubernetes clusters, using encrypted secrets, approval gates, drift detection, and blue-green deployments.
    • Built observability and centralized logging using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo to monitor services, investigate issues, and improve production reliability.
    • Automated infrastructure and operational workflows, including Airflow-based ETL pipelines, security hardening, resource optimization, and cloud infrastructure maintenance.

    Highlights

    • 96% reduction in AWS Glue costs through Airflow-based ETL workflows.
    • 85% reduction in AWS CloudWatch costs through centralized logging with Loki and Grafana.
    • 4 hours → under 1 hour release time through CI/CD optimization, parallel stages, build caching, and automated rollback.
    • 40% reduction in MTTR through improvements to incident response and operational workflows.
    • 20%+ reduction in infrastructure costs through rightsizing, resource cleanup, networking optimization, and infrastructure migration.
    • 90% improvement in VM host stability through infrastructure reliability and hardening initiatives.
